Urology
Urology is a medical field that deals with diseases affecting the urinary tract in both men and women, as well as the male reproductive system. The urinary system plays a key role in removing waste from the body and regulating blood volume, blood pressure, pH levels, and electrolytes. Common urological conditions include urinary tract infections, kidney stones, difficulty controlling urine, and prostate issues. Symptoms of these conditions can include fatigue, loss of appetite, blood in the urine, and vomiting.

Kidney stones are hard deposits made of minerals and salts that form in the urinary tract, often causing severe pain. They typically develop due to dehydration or a diet high in calcium, uric acid, or other compounds. Depending on the composition, kidney stones can be categorized into different types:
1.Calcium Stones: The most common type, formed when excess calcium, which is not used by the body, combines with other substances and crystallizes. Calcium oxalate and calcium phosphate are common varieties.
2.Struvite Stones: These form in response to a urinary tract infection (UTI) and consist of magnesium, phosphate, and ammonia. They tend to grow quickly and can become quite large.
3.Uric Acid Stones: These stones occur when urine is too acidic. People with conditions like gout or certain metabolic disorders are more prone to developing uric acid stones.
4.Cystine Stones: These are rare and occur in people with a hereditary disorder called cystinuria, where cystine, a natural amino acid, leaks into the urine and forms stones.
Each type of kidney stone may require different treatments, and understanding the cause can help in prevention.
